Document Description

Committed to Adams County Jail. On the 16th instant, a Negro Man named JIM; about 25 years old, 5 feet 6 inches high: says he belongs to PETER VORRIS, captain of the Steam Boat Frankfoot [sic]—he states that he ran away from Mr. GERANE, at the Roundtop Sugar House—No scars visible. The owner of the above Negro is requested to comply with the law and take him away. WM. T. WALKER, Jailor. Natchez.
