Document Description

Committed to Adams County Jail. On Monday the 23d instant, a Negro Man named JOE—about 25 years old, 5 feet 5 inches high—says he belongs to JOSEPH CARR, on the Fort Adams road. Also,—On the 25th instant, a Negro Man named DICK; about 24 years old, 5 feet 6 inches high—has a large iron ring round his leg—very black; says he belongs to PATRICK FOLEY, at Bayou Sarah. Also—On the 26th instant, a Negro Boy named BAG, about 16 years old—says he belongs to WILLIAM LOWRY, on the Amite River. The owners of the above Negroes are requested to comply with the law, and take them away. WM. T. WALKER, Jailor. Natchez.
