Runaway In Jail. Was committed to the Jail of Claiborne county, on the instant, a very likely and smart negro man named JOHN, 5 feet 7 1-2 inches high, very dark complexion; says he is 23 years old, has a scar above his left eye, and belongs to Mr. HAYS near New Orleans—that he is a carpenter by trade, and was brought from Tennessee and sold by SAMUEL MORGAN. The owner is required to come forward, prove property, pay charges, and take him away. JOS. BRIGGS, Shff.
