Was committed to the Jail of Monroe county, state of Mississippi, a negro by the name of PETER, about forty or forty-five years of age, five feet ten or eleven inches high, who says he belongs to a WILLIAM SAUNDERS in the Tuckapaw [sic] county, and he also says that his master lives in a town called Franklin.—The owner is requested to come forward, prove property, pay charges and take him away.
