Document Description

Negro JESSE, About 40 years old, dark complexion, nearly black, 5 feet 10 inches high, bow legged, a few scattering grey hairs on his head, talkative and forward in his manner and conversation—went off on a bay horse, about 4 feet 10 inches high, with an old saddle, and plated bridle. It is believed he is endeavoring to reach what is called a free state has with him, probably, a free pass: A Reward of Fifty Dollars, Will be paid to secure him in jail, so that I get him. He went off on the 5th or 6th of August. It is reported here that he was lately seen in the town of Washington. PETER RANDOLPH. Wilkinson.
