Was Committed to the Jail of Adams County, on the 6th of October; a Negro Girl as a runaway, by the name of PEGGY, she says she belongs to NATHANIEL KEMEZON of Jefferson County; she is about 30 years old, she has a mark over her left eye, dressed in coarse cotton clothing, 5 feet 4 inches high. The owner of said Slave is requested to comply with the Law, and take her away. R. H. MAY, Jailor. Natchez.
