Document Description

Was committed to the Jail of Adams county, on the 1st day of August, instant, by Henry Tooley, esq. a negro man by the name of PRIMUS, says that he belongs to Mr. CAIN, Sheriff of Franklin county, in this state; this negro is about 30 or 35 years of age, five feet, four inches high, his upper fore teeth are out, he is very much marked all over with the whip; had on an old cotton shirt and pantaloons.—The owner is requested to comply with the law and take him out of Jail.
