Document Description

Was committed to the Jail of Adams county, on the 19th instant, by Henry Tooley, esq. a negro man by the name of SAM, says that he belongs to MICAJAH P. STONE, of Franklin county, Miss.—Is about 21 or 22 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, had on striped pantaloons and coarse cotton shirt, has lost one of his lower front teeth. Sam had a girl with him by the name of KEZIAH—says she also belongs to Mr. STONE; she is about 15 or 16 years of age, 5 feet 2 inches high, dressed in a calico frock. The owner of the above negroes is requested to comply with the law and take them out of Jail. R. H. MAY, Jailor.
