Document Description

Parish of Concordia, state of Louisiana. On the 19th instant, was committed to the jail of the said parish, as a runaway, a negro man, named JOHN BARREL, about 25 or 30 years of age, five feet high, a scar on the upper lip, much marked with the lash. Says he belongs to WILLIAM EVANS living up in Warrenton, state of Mississippi. The owner is requested to pay charges and take him out of jail. VINCENT LODER, Jailor. Vidalia.
