Committed to the jail of Adams county, by Justice Wailes as a runaway on the 13th inst. a yellow man by the name of LACEY, says he belongs to ASA WATKINS of Jefferson county state of Mississippi, this man is about five feet, four inches high, 24 or 25 years of age, has a bushy head of hair, has a scar on his forehead, also one under his right eye, has on a pair of grey casimere pantaloons, Woolsey roundabout and cotton shirt. The owner of the above boy is requested to comply with the law and take him out of jail. R. H. MAY, Jailor, A.C. Gum Jail near Washington.
