Was committed to the jail of Adams county by Henry Tooley, Esq. on the 17th instant, as a runaway, a negro boy by the name of SHADRACH, says he belongs to GAINES DONOHO of Jefferson county, this state; he is about 24 years of age; he is about 5 feet 2 or 3 inches high—he has on a pair of cotton pantaloons and cotton shirt, and linsey roundabout; he is of a yellowish complexion. The owner of the above boy is requested to comply with the law and take him out of jail. R. H. MAY, Jailor of A.C.
