Document Description

Was committed to the jail of Adams County, by Henry Tooley, Esq. on the 20th inst. as a runaway, a boy by the name of BOB, he says that he belongs to THOMAS SPURWELL of Catahoula, Louisiana, he is 5 feet 7 inches high, yellowish complection, about 30 years of age; a small scar on his forehead, and one on his upper lip, he has on a drab coat and cassinett pantaloons; no other marks notable, the owner of the above described Negro is requested to comply with the law and take him out of jail.
