Document Description

Was committed to the jail of Franklin county, on the 28th day of April, 1827, by Jonathan Russell, Esq. a negro man, by the name of DICK, who says he belongs to one JOHN SNEAD living near Batton Rouge [sic], in the state of Louisiana; he is about five feet eight or nine inches high, thick built, black complexion, and has a scar above the left eye, has large flat feet, clothing consist of cotton pantaloons very much worn and patched, and a mixed woolen hunting shirt, and an old fur hat.
