Document Description

Was committed to the Jail of Adams county, on the 1st of June, by Henry Tooley, Esq. a negro man of black complexion [MAN], he belongs to JAMES ARMOR of New Orleans, is about 50 years of age, five feet nine or ten inches high, he has lost several of his lower fore teeth, he has a remarkable large wen on his right leg, has also the ankle of the same leg very much swollen, he says by the rheumatic pains; he had on coarse linen pantaloons and an old cotton shirt. The owner of the above negro is requested to comply with the law, and take him out of jail. R. H. MAY, jailor. Natchez.
