Document Description

Was committed to the Jail of Adams county by Henry Tooley, Esq. on the 5th of January, instant, as a runaway, by the name of WILLIAM, of light complexion—says he belongs to JOHN C. TWITTY, of Adams county. William is about 20 or 25 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high—he has on old linen pantaloons, red flannel shirt and wool hat—his eyes are very red, &c. The owner of the above described negro is requested to comply with the law, and take him out of Jail. R. H. MAY, Jailor. Natchez.
