Document Description

Twenty Dollars Reward. Ranaway from the Plantation of Dr. STEPHEN DUNCAN on Second Creek, called “Walnut Gove,” on the 9th of April last, a negro man, named DANIEL, calls himself DANIEL GREEN. Said negro, is about 31 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, black complexion, with a scar on the left side of his face, and one or two of smaller size on his head, supposed to proceed from a burn or scald. Took with him, a pair of twilled woollen [sic] pantaloons, a jacket of the same, a cotton shirt, a tow cloth do [sic], and pantaloons of the same. A reward of Twenty Dollars will be paid for securing him in any jail in this state, so that the subscriber may get him. B. V. PARTLOW, Overseer. Walnut Grove.
