Ten Dollars Reward—Absconded from the undersigned on Saturday night the 11th inst. a certain negro woman, rather inclined to be of yellowish complexion, named FLORA, about 38 or 40 years of age; five feet five or six inches high, stout built, speaks quick when spoken to; disposed to be insolent in her manners—has pretentions to her freedom, and no doubt will endeavor to pass as such.—Said wench Flora has knotty hair, and an excellent set of white teeth; has children in some part of this state, and will, most certainly, use her exertions to get to them;—and has, in all probability, obtained a pass from some person. She was formerly owned by AARON WEGERT of this place, and at present belongs to Mr. PETER BLACK merchant at the Natchez landing, and left in my charge to be sold. Any person who will apprehend said negro wench, and deliver her to the undersigned, shall receive the above reward. JOHN P. PHILLIPS Natchez.
