Document Description

Ten Dollars Reward. Ranaway from the Poplar Grove Plantation, a negro man named BOB or ROBERT, about five feet ten to eleven inches high; twenty-five or thirty years old, square built, round visage; has a fine voice and speaks quick—said negro has a scar in the edge of his hair over his forehead, he took with him a variety of clothes; is a good blacksmith.—It is supposed he will make his way up the river, and may have procured a pass from a negro in the neighborhood who can write. Any person who may take up Bob and secure him in any jail in this state so that I can get him shall receive the above reward. N. B. QUILLING. Adams county.
