Was committed to the Jail of Adams county, by H. Tooley, Esq. on the 28th day of August, 1830, a negro boy who calls himself JOHN, very dark complexion, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, and about 30 years of age—said negro says he belongs to mr. BUCKNER HARRIS of Gallatin, Mississippi; had on when committed, an old woolen hat, coarse linen shirt and pantaloons. The owner of the above described negro is requested to comply with the law and take him out of Jail. W. W. CALMES, Jailor.
