Document Description

Twenty Dollars Reward. Ranaway from the subscriber living in the Parish of St. James, La. on the 24th of June last, a negro man named FREDERICK, 21 or 22 years old, very black, flat nose, has lost one front tooth out of the lower jaw, has a small scar in the middle of his forehead, is five feet 7 or 8 inches high, speaks English only, and a little through the nose. The above reward will be given for the delivery of the slave to me, and all reasonable expenses paid. AGUSTE BERTAUD.
