Document Description

Was committed to the jail of Adams county, by F. Wood, Esq., on the 6th day of June, 1831, a negro man calling himself BOB, and says he belongs to WILLIAM HENDRICKS of Franklin county, Mi. He is about 30 years of age, 5 feet 10 1-2 inches high, of very dark colour, one tooth out of his upper jaw in front—had on an old pair of linen pantaloons and a cotton bag on his shoulders, has a large scar on his breast, and severely scared [sic] on the back. The owner of the above described negro is requested to comply with the law, and take him out of jail. W. W. CALMES, Jailor.
