Document Description

Runaway In Adams County Jail. Was committed to the jail of Adams county, by H. Tooley, esq. on the 12th day of September, 1831, a negro boy named BEVERLY, 18 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, of yellow complexion. Says he belongs to JAMES WATSON, Jefferson county, state of Mississippi. The said boy was taken out of this jail on the 26th day of August last, by Andrew J. Watson for James Watson. The owner of the above described negro is requested to comply with the law and take him out of jail. W. W. CALMES, Jailor, Per H. MADDOCK, Deputy.
