Document Description

Was committed to the jail of Adams county, on the 4th day of October, 1831, by Samuel Postlethwaite, esq., a negro woman called herself PATSEY, and she belongs to ROBERT STARK of New Orleans. Said negro is 5 feet 7 inches high, and about 30 years of age. She is of a reddish yellow complexion, with very long black hair, and remarkably large feet—had on, when committed, an old cotton dress, and a red head handkerchief.
