Document Description

Notice. Was committed to the Jail of Franklin county, by A. C. Wilde, Esq., on the 12th December 1831, two Negro men, who call their names JACK and ELISHA, and say they belong to a man living in Louisiana, 33 miles above New Orleans, but [sic] the name of GIATEN BUSBAR; the age of said Negroes appear to be about 22, one, and the other 28 or 30; had on, when committed, clothes were much worn.—old wool hats; they appear to be very civil and speak quick. The owner of the above described Negroes, are requested to take them out of Jail and pay charges. D. H. McINTYRE, Sheriff of Franklin county.
