Document Description

State of Mississippi vs. Fed. By virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I shall expose at public auction, to the highest bidder, for ready money, at the court-house of Adams county, on the first Monday of August next, within the time prescribed by law, a negro boy named FED, committed to the jail of said county as a runaway slave, and has not been claimed by any owner for six months from his commitment. Said negro sold for prison and other fees. H. GRIDLEY, Sheriff. Natchez.
