Document Description

Was committed to the Jail of Adams county on the 20th day of January, 1832, by C. Griffin, Esq a mulatto boy, who calls himself NELSON, and says he belongs to a Mr. LAVINE of the city of New Orleans. He is about twenty years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, of very healthy appearance and good countenance. He had on a blue dress coat, mixed casinet pantaloons, linen shirt and an old black fur hat. The owner of the above described negro is requested to comply with the law and take him out of Jail. W. W. CALMES, Jailor.
