Document Description

Runaway in Jail. Was committed to the jail of Warren county, by W.H. Benton, J. P. a negro girl who calls herself SUSAN, and says that she is a free girl. Said negro is about twenty years of age, five feet four inches high, had on when committed a new calico coat, and a pair of fine brogan shoes. The owner, if any, is requested to come forward, prove property, pay charges and take her away or she will be dealt with as the law directs. JAMES HALL, Jailer.
