Document Description

Was committed to the jail of Adams county, by S. Postlethwaite Esq. on 6th May 1832, a negro man named REUBEN, who says he belongs to a Mr. KEMP GRIGSBY, a negro trader; he is of rather dark yellow complexion approaching the mulatto, of stout make, good countenance, 5 feet 9 inches high, and about 25 years of age, had on a blue Janes frock coat, blue mixed pantaloons, and white cotton shirt. The owner of the above described negro, is requested to comply with the law and take him out of jail. W. W. CALMES, Jailor. Natchez.
