Document Description

Runaway in Jail. Was committed to the jail of Warren county on the 6th July 1832 by Jas. Cornell J. P. in and for said county, a negro woman who calls her name SILLER, and says she belongs to JURDON DENSON, of Madison county Mississippi. Said negro is five feet five inches high, dark complexion, about sixty years of age, has lost all fore teeth but one—had on when committed, a domestic plaid dress. The owner of said negro is requested to come forward prove property pay charges and take her out of jail or she will be delt [sic] with as the law directs. JAMES HALL, Jailer.
