Document Description

Was committed to the jail of Adams county by H. Tooley Esq. on the 12th July 1832 a negro man calling himself PETER and says he belongs to a Mr. BELLEPARE living near New Orleans he is 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high and about 25 years of age of very dark complexion and stoutly made had on linen pantaloons and dark linsey roundabout. The owner of the above described negro is requested to comply with the law and take him out of jail. W. W. CALMES, Jailor. Natchez.
