Document Description

Was committed to the Jail of Adams county, by H. Tooley, Esq. on the 24th August, 1832, a negro girl who calls herself MARIA, and says she belongs to ABRAM FRISHY, of Jefferson county, Mi. She is of yellow complexion, slim made, about 15 years of age, had on a white cotton dress. The owner of the above described negro is requested to comply with the law and take her out of jail. W. W. CALMES, Jailor.
