Document Description

Was committed to the Jail of Adams county by C. Griffin Esq. on the 10th September 1832, a negro boy calling himself BEN, and says he belongs to HIRAM BALDWIN of Jefferson county Mi.—He is five feet four and a half inches high, tolerably dark complexion and about thirty years of age, has large whiskers, and a considerable scar on his breast, had on linen pantaloons, cotton shirt and an old white fur hat. The owner of the above described negro is requested to comply with the law and take him out of jail. W. W. CALMES, Jailor.
