Document Description

Was committed to the Jail of Adams county on the 5th September, 1832, by C. Griffin Esq. a negro man who calls himself SAM, and says he belongs to Mr. OWENS a negro trader. He is about thirty years of age, and about five feet nine inches high, of very dark complexion and long whiskers, had very white teeth, had on blue linsey pantaloons and coarse bagging shirt. The owner of the above described negro is requested to comply with the law and take him out of jail. W. W. CALMES, Jailor.
