Document Description

The State of Mississippi vs. Harry a Runaway. By virtue of the power vested in me by law as Sheriff of Adams county, I shall expose at public sale to the highest bidder for ready money, at the door of the Court House of said county, on the third Monday in May next, within the time prescribed by law, on said day, a negro boy named HARRY, committed to the jail of said county as a runaway, and has not been claimed by any owner for six months from the day of his commitment.
