Document Description

Was committed to the Jail of Adams county on the 21st of October, 1832, by Cyrus Griffin, Esq. a negro boy who calls himself JOE, and says he belongs to BERRY THOMPSON, of Wilkinson county, Miss. He is not very dark, of thin visage, prominent nose and eyes, has stout and strong limbs, 5 feet 4 inches high; had on only a few tattered rags. The owner of the above described negro is requested to comply with the law and take him out of Jail. W. W. CALMES, Jailor. Natchez.
