Document Description

Was committed to the jail of Adams county, as a runaway, by C. Griffin, Esq. on the tenth of November 1832, a negro man calling himself ARTHUR, of rather a yellowish complexion and says he belongs to HARBIN MILLER of Lake Washington; he is five feet five inches high and about 20 years of age; he had a considerable quantity of clothing, consisting of Kentucky jeans; he is a stout, square made fellow; had a basely forged pass. The owner of the above described negro is requested to comply with the law and take him out of jail. W. W. CALMES, Jailor.
