Document Description

Was committed to the jail of Adams county, as a runaway, by C. Griffin, Esq. on the twenty-first of November 1832, a negro boy [BOY] of very dark complexion, five feet one and a half inches high and about 15 years of age, and says he belongs to Judge McGEHEE of Wilkinson county, Mi; said boy had on an old wool hat, pantaloons and roundabout of blue mixed jeans; has very large white eyes and good countenance. The owner of the above described negro is requested to comply with the law and take him out of jail. W. W. CALMES, Jailor.
