Document Description

Was committed to the Jail of Adams County as a runaway by C. Griffin Esq. on the 4th Jan. 1833, a negro man calling himself DANIEL, and says he belongs to JOHN JONES of New Orleans, he is 5 feet 5 inches high of quite dark complexion, he is unusually stout made, large white eyes, had on blue cloth pantaloons and an old blue dress coat and cotton shirt. The owner of the above described negro is requested to comply with the law and to take him out of Jail. W. W. CALMES, Jailer.
