Document Description

Was committed to the jail of Adams county on the 12th of February 1833, by C. Griffin Esq. a negro boy calling himself JIM, and says he belongs to Capt. MILLER in New-Orleans. Said boy is about 15 years of age, of yellow complexion good countenance, well made and speaks intelligently. He had on when committed a pair of yellow Linsey pantaloons very much worn, mixed Linsey roundabout, good brogans and an old cap. The owner of the above described negro is requested to comply with the law and take him out of jail. W. W. CALMES, Jailer. Natchez.
