Document Description

Ranaway From the subscriber on the 11th, [sic] of February last a bright mulatto man named FLEMING. Said negro is about 25 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, stout built, high forehead; has a scar on his upper lip, from a cut; he is a good house carpenter, quite fond of gambling; can read and write, has a polite address—it is more than likely he has free papers about him. He took away with him two pair of black cloth pantaloons; snuff colored frock coat; velvet vest; a blue dress coat; and a blue vest; a black fur hat; none of the cloths much worn, and a watch. I will give $25 if taken in the State, and fifty dollars if taken out of the State, and secured in any jail so that I can get him again, and all reasonable charges paid. J. NEIBERT Natchez.
