Document Description

Was committed to the jail of Adams county, as a runaway, by Geo. Newman, Esq., on the 26th day of June, 1833, a negro boy calling himself ISAAC, and says he belongs to General BRISCOE, of Claiborne county, Mi., he is 5 feet 6 inches high, and about 35 years of age, of very dark complexion, very stoutly made, good set of teeth, the top of his head quite bald; had on white cotton shirt and pantaloons. The owner of the above described negro is requested to comply with the law and take him out of Jail. W. W. CALMES, Jailor. Natchez.
