Document Description

Was committed to the jail of Adams county, as a runaway, by W. B. Melvin, Esq., on the 1st day of July, 1833, a negro boy calling his name ANDREW, and says he belongs to Mr. COLLINGSHEAD, of Franklin county, Mi., on McCall’s creek. He is 5 feet 4 ½ inches high, and about 20 years of age, of brownish yellow complexion, of very good countenance, he is moderately stout in his person; had on blue linsey pantaloons and cotton shirt. The owner of the above described negro is requested to comply with the law and take him out of jail. W. W. CALMES, Jailor.
