Document Description

Was committed to the jail of Adams county, as a runaway, by Woodson Wren, Esq., on the 31st day of July, 1833, a negro man calling himself PETER, and says he belongs to BENJAMIN HARMAN, of said county. He is about 5 feet 8 inches high, and about 30 years of age, very stout and square built, he had on linen shirt and pantaloons. The owner of the above described negro is requested to comply with the law, and take him out of jail. W. W. CALMES, Jailor.
