Document Description

Was committed to the Jail of Adams county, on the 4th day of November, 1833, by William B. Melvin, Esq. a negro man who calls his name WALLACE, and says that he belongs to PETER WINN, of St. Louis, State of Missouri. Said negro is of light complexion, 5 feet 8 inches high, stout made, fair and quick when spoken to. he [sic] had on a blue roundabout, coarse brown shirt and pantaloons.
