Was Committed, To the Jail of Madison county on the 17th of October, a negro man named ENOCH, who says he belongs to RICHARD WOODSON, living near Clinton, and has his hands at work on Mr. COBBS’ plantation in Yazoo county—Enoch is a large yellow man, about 60 years old, about five feet eight inches high, one under tooth out, had on cotton shirt, straw hat, woolen coat and pantaloons, heavy built, one of his big toes is rather stumpy. The owner is requested to come forward, prove property, pay charges, and take him out of jail, or he will be dealt with according to law. O. TAYLOR, Jailor.
