Was committed to the jail of Marion Co. Mi. on the 18th day of November 1833 by N. M. Collins Esq. a negro man who says his name is BEN, and that he belongs to THOMAS BERNARD of Natchez, he is about 30 or 35 years of age, of a yellowish complexion, tolerable large whiskers, with a down look, sloe [sic] spoken, five feet 6 or 7 inches high, had on an old wool hat, an old mixt [sic] coat, tolerable good shoes, cotton shirt and pantaloons. The owner is requested to come forward, prove him and pay expenses and take him away. E. SUMRALL, Shff.
