Document Description

Runways in Jail. Was committed to the Jail of Warren county, on the 9th day of December, 1833, by L. McLemury, a justice of the peace, in and for said county, a negro man, who calls himself PHIL, and says he is the property of Mr. WALTERS of Yazoo County, and was hired to SAMUEL FLEACHER of Warren county, Miss.—he is about 26 years of age, of light black, 5 feet 7 inches high; had on a linsey coat, cotton shirt and pantaloons. The owner is requested to come forward, prove property, pay charges and take him out of Jail, or he will be dealt with as the law directs. MARTIN ANDING, Jailor, W. C.
