Document Description

Notice.—Will be exposed to public sale, for Cash at the Court house of Claiborne county on the 22d November next, a Negro Man named GEORGE, a runaway, about 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches high, stout and well made, dark complexion, speaks French and broken English and says he belongs to JOHN WEEKS, formerly of New Orleans. Unless the owner of the said Negroe makes application, proves his property & pays the prison fees previous to the day of sale, the said negro will be sold for the payment thereof. JAMES BRIGGS, Shff.
