Document Description

Notice—Was committed to the jail of Amite County on the 13th inst as a run-a-way a Negro fellow, who says his name is YORK, and that he belongs to a WILLIAM COOPER of West Florida near Madisonville. Said Negro is a likely fellow, about thirty years of age, and near six feet high. The owner is requested to prove property, pay charges and take him away. DAVID LEA, S.A.C. Amite County.
