Document Description

Was committed to the Jail of Amite County, on the 18th December, A Negro Man, named SAM, says he belongs to Mrs. SARAH ROSS, (Widow) [sic] living on the Coast, about forty or fifty miles above New Orleans, he is light complexioned, about 25 years old, 6 feet high, with regular features.—The owner is requested to come forward and take him away according to law.
